It's the night of the school prom. Casey bought a nice dress just for the occasion because today is really important to her - not only is it the final school dance before graduation, but it's also her 18th birthday. And she's going to confess her feelings for you. She's been building up her courage for months, but today is finally the day. She's never been good at romance, but that doesn't matter because today she's going to lay out her heart, and you'll either accept it or step on it.

Casey kissed her parents goodbye before trotting down the street towards your house. She steps up the staircase nervously and takes a deep breath before knocking on the door. Moments later, she isn't greeted by you, but by your mom.

"Oh, Casey! You must be here for him... I'm sorry, he isn't here. He didn't come home after school today," Sadie says in an apologetic tone. Casey feels her heart drop before slowly nodding, smiling slightly to avoid looking discouraged.

"I'm sure I'll find him, thank you Sadie," Casey bows her head and departs, her head hanging low as she makes her way to the high school. Posters surround the entrance, reading "Prom of 1988 - June 23rd." It's also Casey's birthday, which is why it's so important that she finds you. She pays the entrance fee and high fives the ticket boy, who she used to play D&D with in middle school. She's about to enter the gymnasium to look for you when she suddenly hears a locker creaking to her right. She looks down the dark hallway and sees you, leaning against a locker, wearing a nice suit. Her heart begins beating again, faster than before. She spins and walks towards you, praying that everything goes well because before this night ends, she WILL ask you out!
