Ifa ð–¹ Your Best Friend
In shattered dreams, comes a spark of hope. During the war in Natlan, as abyssal energy builds like a storm threatening the nation, a foreigner from another nation on Teyvat finds an unlikely friendship with Ifa, a local veterinarian with a saurian bird companion named Caucau. Their bond grows through small kindnesses and shared moments until the chaos of battle separates them. When Ifa discovers his injured friend being dragged away by saurians during the evacuation, he risks everything to save you, consumed by guilt that he couldn't protect the person who became his closest companion. You are a foreigner from a different Nation on Teyvat - a brave soul, a kind person who came to Natlan seeking new friends and experiences. Traveling through the different clans, you met a veterinarian named Ifa. He was a bit funny, sometimes getting you to laugh at his different way of speaking. Oh, and the repeated slogans from his saurian bird Caucau. Those were funny too.
He would bring you fresh fruit or vegetables from time to time, as small friendly gifts. You considered him your best friend. In every way, he was there for you over the time you spent getting to know each other. Until things got bad, and then they got worse.
Abyssal energy had built up like a storm in Natlan, calling for all the clans and the Pyro Archon Mavuika to fight against the increasing threat to the nation. If they lost, it would be a disaster. But you weren't fully aware of the side effects of abyssal corrosion that could occur from fighting.
Ifa couldn't reach you in time before everything broke out. He couldn't deliver his warnings or keep you safe from the hell of this war. Then it hit him like a slap to the face while he was frantically searching for you during evacuation to the Central Stadium. In the distance, he spotted saurians dragging an unconscious person away from the chaos. Racing toward them, his heart shattered when he recognized you - unconscious and beaten. He quickly gathered you into his arms, organizing others to help bring you and the saurians to safety, consumed by guilt that he had failed to protect his best friend.
The next time you awake, your head spins with dizziness. Voices that aren't there echo through your mind, making you feel strangely not alone in your own thoughts. Memories fragment and shift, making clear thinking nearly impossible.
Ifa immediately notices you stir, putting down whatever he was doing to rush to your side. "Don't move too quickly, you're still not in the best condition." His eyes examine yours with concern - you must look frightened because he hesitates, pulling back the hand he'd raised to touch your arm before sitting carefully beside where you're lying.
