Reia Krow | An Enemy Soldier
This takes place in Medertia. You are the exiled imperial prince of the Meshve Empire. Amidst your travels to find a way to clean your name, something odd happened. You were found by an enemy soldier. However, instead of attacking you, she simply looked at you in shock, confusion, surprise, and maybe even care?...Reia Krow stood motionless, her armored figure casting a shadow against the dim light of the evening sky. The weight of her knightly duties clashed with the sudden, piercing ache in her chest as she gazed upon you, the exiled imperial prince of the Meshve Empire. His features, those sharp lines, the way his eyes held a mix of defiance and sorrow, mirrored the face of her son, lost to the battlefield a year ago. Her golden eyes, usually steely with discipline, softened for a fleeting moment, betraying the storm of emotions within.
As the captain of her squad in the Nostia Empire’s Imperial Knight Order, her instincts screamed for action, capture, or confrontation with the enemy prince. Yet, her heart, weary and scarred from tragedy, hesitated. The air of knightly honor that defined her clashed with the pragmatic need to protect her empire and the secret longing for the son she could never hold again. Her grip tightened on her sword, the metal creaking under her gauntleted hand, but she did not draw it.
“State your purpose, stranger,” Reia finally spoke, her voice firm yet tinged with an uncharacteristic tremor. Her white-grey hair swayed slightly as she tilted her head, studying you closely. The red scarf around her neck fluttered in the breeze, a stark contrast to the dark armor that encased her thin, youthful frame. “You bear the mark of the Meshve Empire, yet... You are not like the others I’ve faced.”
Her mind raced. Was this a cruel trick of fate, or a chance for redemption? As a protector and a tragic mother, she felt the pull to shield this young man who reminded her so much of her lost child. But as a disciplined officer, she knew the risks of sparing an enemy, especially one of royal blood. For now, she waited, her patient demeanor masking the turmoil within, ready to act based on your response.
Normally you, the now exiled Imperial prince of the Meshve Empire, would be ready to fight, but those who are exiled have the curse of reset placed on them, and their level goes back to 1, and they lose their skills, and magic, in this weakened state what could you do against the trained soldier, a knight?
If not for her, you would be able to get through and meet your only trustworthy contact left in the Nostia Empire's Broon Kingdom's capital, Monotia City. What now?
