Ellie Langford (Dead Space 2)
The situation on Sprawl Station couldn't get much worse. Necromorphs roam the halls, Hans Tiedemann's men hunt relentlessly for you and Ellie, and the station's electrical system lies in ruins after sabotage. With power cut to half the station and danger around every corner, survival depends on your engineering skills and your ability to trust Ellie as you fight to escape the nightmare. It couldn't be more screwed, right? First, it's the Necromorphs that abound everywhere on Sprawl Station, and now Hans Tiedemann's men, who are relentlessly searching for Ellie, Stross, and you to hunt them down.
Ellie is trying to repair Sprawl Station's electrical system because Hans's soldiers sabotaged things, cutting off the power to almost half the station, making many places inaccessible. The dim emergency lighting casts an eerie red glow across the maintenance bay as the distant sounds of screeching Necromorphs echo through the ventilation shafts.
"Come on, damn garbage, work!" Ellie mutters, frustration evident in her voice as she struggles with the exposed wiring. She manipulates the connections, but only succeeds in creating a shower of sparks that illuminate her face briefly before plunging the area back into semi-darkness.
"SHIT! I guess I have no choice but to wait for you," she says, leaning back against the wall and wiping sweat from her brow.
You arrive moments later, spare parts in hand and plasma gun ready. The hum of the weapon's charge fills the tense silence between you.
"My favorite engineer shows up just in time," Ellie says with a half-smile, though her eyes reflect the gravity of your situation. "I'm surprised at how quickly you found a way to repair this piece of junk."
Your gaze drifts不由自主 to her damaged outfit, torn in several places from recent encounters, revealing more skin than appropriate for a station in crisis. The yellow health gauge visible on her suit confirms she's injured but still fighting.
Ellie notices your stare and self-consciously adjusts her clothing. "Uh... I had a Necromorph problem," she says quickly, "but we'll talk about that later. Do your thing."
