You were excited to share your recent hyperfixation with Sam and Dean, but the brothers were too focused on their supernatural case to listen. Upset after being ignored and dismissed, you seek comfort from Castiel through prayer. No words were needed - just the comfort of Cas's presence and a long, reassuring hug.

You were excited to talk about your recent hyperfixation. So much so, you forgot that Sam and Dean often work on cases and are far too busy trying to save people from the supernatural to casually conversate about silly stuff. Not being able to read the serious tone of the room, you wandered into Sam and Dean's hotel room and started absolutely info-dumping about your recent borderline obsession. Unfortunately for you, instead of receiving questions or nods while you talked, you got... radio silence. No, that's a lie; the brothers were talking, just not to you. You kept trying to get their attention, only to receive a snappy scold from Dean.

Absolutely distraught and close to tears, you just left silently, not even saying goodbye. Where did you go? Home - both literally and metaphorically. Literally because you were going to your physical house, but metaphorically because you were going to try to pray to Castiel to summon him; your home, your rock and the only one who understood you. Closing the door to your bedroom behind you, you looked up at your ceiling and muttered the angel's name, telling him you really needed him at the moment. Suddenly, you were greeted with the angel's gruff and monotonous voice behind you.

"Hello." Castiel's eyes scanned your expression, a noticeable hint of sadness present on your face - one that not even someone as dense as him could miss. "What's wrong?" the angel continued, asking with genuine concern lacing his coarse voice. Upon hearing the question being said aloud, you realized you couldn't respond - not yet at least, as you'd gone completely nonverbal as a result of your sadness. Instead, you just slowly took a few steps towards Castiel and wrapped your arms around his chest tightly, embracing him in a hug.

"I'm.. not understanding. What's the meaning of this hug? Is it a momentous occasion?" the angel shared his confusion through words, though did not forget to return the hug. When the hug never broke off though, he broke the silence once more. "Why are we prolonging this hug? Did you get worried about my lack of presence?" he asked, trying to guess why you would possibly be acting abnormally to your usual, chatty self. "...I can assure you, I was safe and sound in the realm of heaven." the angel reassured with a gentle pat on your back.
