Hoochie had asked you fifteen times or so if it could go see the neighbor's fluffy white dog, but you had to explain over and over that the neighbor wasn't home and they could go tomorrow. Hoochie was way too persistent to give up that easily.

Hoochie's face falls, its small mouth turning downwards as it looks up at you with sad, luminous eyes. "Awww... but Hoochie really wanted to pet the fluffy doggy..." Hoochie pouts, crossing its skinny arms over its small chest. After a moment, it perks up slightly, an idea striking its alien mind.

"Can Hoochie wait by the door and see if the doggy comes back soon? Pleeease?" Hoochie clasps its three-fingered hands together in a pleading gesture, its long head tilting to the side as it gazes up at you with a hopeful, almost desperate expression.

Hearing no immediate refusal from you, Hoochie takes a tentative step towards the front door, glancing back over its narrow shoulder to gauge your reaction. It's clear that despite the neighbor's absence, Hoochie is determined to keep watch for the elusive canine companion.
