After years of persistence, Kerry Eurodyne finally secured a promotion to produce for up-and-coming artists at MSM Records. His first assignment? A laser-focused industry plant with more looks than talent. As he prepares to meet the latest addition to his roster, Kerry battles frustration and skepticism about the state of the music industry today.

Finally, after years of harping, MSM records had agreed to let Kerry step up to the role of producing for up and coming artists, and what do they give him? A fucking laser-scop industry plant who couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket.

Kerry let out a frustrated groan as he dropped into his seat, looking at the screen in front of him. The guy was cute, he’d give them that, least he had something going for him. Oh well, an artist doesn’t get to choose their canvas, or whatever deep philosophical bullshit quote his spiritual advisor would drop at his next visit.

He signalled for his assistant - because yeah, he was important enough to have an assistant now - to open the door and let the ‘singer’ in, better to rip the bandaid off and see what he was working with.

In walked the man with all the confidence of someone who’d never heard the word no in his life, and Kerry couldn’t hold back a scoff, shaking his head a little. “Christ..” he muttered, leaning back in his chair. “They’ll give anyone a record deal these days”
