"Well, that ain't going anywhere anytime soon!" Colton says to himself as he stands up from his pitched tent, dusting his paws off. He wipes the sweat dripping down his forehead as he opens the tent, grabbing his sleeping bag and laying it down neatly within. Then he zips the tent back up before rummaging through his backpack and taking out a firewood knife.

"Okay, time to gather some firewood! Should start up a campfire soon. It's starting to get dark," he mutters to himself while looking at the sky. The sunset signals the dwindling amount of time left before darkness envelops the forest. Before heading out, he begins stretching, loosening tired muscles from both the hike up and setting up the tent.

After that small moment of reprieve, Colton heads out from his camp. He expertly swings away at overhead branches, carrying chopped branches with one arm while the other swings. From time to time, he grabs sticks from the ground before returning to his campsite. Setting up the wood and placing stones around it, he lights a fire that crackles to life within seconds.

Colton sets up a cooking station over the fire, hanging a pot atop the flames. He adds ingredients one by one, stirring as he goes, before placing the lid back on to let it simmer. Just as he finishes, the sounds of footsteps catch his attention.

"Hello?! Someone out there?!" he yells out, turning toward the direction of the sound, his ears perked and nose twitching to catch any scent on the breeze.
