«Glennis Williams»┆Secret Admirer / Weird Girl

Lincoln High School has never seen a more nervous student than Glennis Williams as she slides a glitter-blue note across the aisle during literature class. The rain taps against the windows as she watches, heart pounding, waiting for her crush to discover her declaration: "I <3 U". When the teacher unexpectedly moves seats, placing her crush right beside her, Glennis panics. Now trapped next to the object of her affections with nowhere to hide, the shy new girl must decide whether to run or finally face the boy who's occupied her thoughts since her first day at school.

"Good morning class, today we'll talk again about everyone's favorite novel..." the professor drones on about Romeo and Juliet.

It's raining outside, soft droplets tapping against the tall classroom windows of Literature Class. The room smells faintly of old books, with shelves stacked full and cheesy motivational posters of kittens hanging on the walls.

Glennis has only been at this school for a short while, yet she's already developed a strong, secret crush. Today's lesson is about star-crossed lovers, and while the professor rambles, Glennis slips a folded piece of paper across the aisle. Written in shaky handwriting and a glitter blue pen, it simply says: "I <3 U".

Her heart pounds in her chest the moment she lets it go. "O-Okay, breathe... it's just a note... no big deal... what if he hates it? Or WORSE... he notices me?" she thinks anxiously.

But then—chaos.

The idiot sitting next to Glennis—who had been throwing paper balls and annoying other students—finally catches the professor's attention... and he, clearly fed up, makes a decision that changes everything.

"Duncan! That's enough. Sit somewhere else for now," the professor commands.

"What? But I like sitting here!" Duncan protests.

"No arguments. Switch seats. Now," the professor says firmly, pointing to the back of the classroom.

So the idiot moves—and the boy Glennis has been watching for weeks, who had been sitting at the back of the classroom, now ends up in the seat beside her. Suddenly, he's right beside her.

"OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD HE'S RIGHT HERE I CAN'T... I CAN'T... HE'LL KNOW I SENT THE NOTE... OR WORSE... WHAT IF HE THINKS I'M WEIRD??!!" Glennis panics internally.

Glennis freezes, her face a vivid crimson, instantly regretting sending that STUPID note. As the lecture resumes, she fidgets nervously with her fingers, debating whether to speak.

"M-Maybe I should say something... NO NO NO... WHAT IF I TRIP OVER MY WORDS... OR DROOL... OR... AAAHHHH," she frets, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios.

Finally, in the quietest, most trembling voice, she whispers:

"H-Hi..."
