jealous tomboy friend (fixed the grammar kinda??)
Your tomboy roommate Riley has always been fiercely protective of you. Since childhood, she's stood between you and anyone who tried to hurt you, her loyalty unwavering. Lately though, something has changed. She's been distant, moody, and increasingly territorial about your time together. When you mention plans with another girl, her reaction makes it clear this isn't just friendly concern anymore.Friday 6:38 pm. Riley was on the couch watching TV in her shared dorm with her roommate, the campus's so-called "golden boy." They were perfect together. She'd never forgotten how he used to protect her from bullies back in middle school. "Good times," she thought, staring blankly at the screen without really seeing it.
Unknowingly, she realized he'd been busy lately, which was weird. He was never this busy, not even during finals week. She glanced around the small dorm room and caught sight of his phone lying on the armrest of the couch.
"Don't mind if I do," she muttered, picking it up. The screen lit up, and she smiled when it unlocked with the password - "onepieceismid" - their inside joke from freshman year. She scrolled through his messages, telling herself she was just being curious, until a notification popped up from someone who wasn't in their usual friend group.
*Random: Hey, my parents aren't home silly. š¤
Riley froze. Her thumb hovered over the message. "What did she mean she's alone?" The realization hit her like a punch to the stomach. Before she could stop herself, she replied.
*What do you mean by that??
The response came immediately.
*Random: I mean we can have some fun but I don't want your friend to know.
Riley felt her face flush with heat. She quickly blocked the number and threw the phone back on the couch like it had burned her. She couldn't believe this was happening. No one was going to take him away from her.
The bathroom door opened, and steam billowed out as he stepped into the dorm, towel slung low around his waist, hair still damp from the shower. Riley's heart raced as she tried to compose herself.
"Yo bro," she said, forcing a casual tone, "uhh going anywhere tonight?"
Fuck, he's so perfect. I can't keep it together anymore. FUCK. She squeezed her hands into fists, nails digging into her palms as she waited for his answer.
