Rival Flames — Kiyomi Uchiha
The Hidden Leaf was thrown into chaos when a rogue group of missing-nin attacked the village gates under cover of night. Kiyomi and Naruto's twin brother, despite their rivalry, were assigned to the same response team. The battle was fierce—kunai clashing, jutsu lighting the streets, and the air thick with smoke. Kiyomi’s Fire Release burned through enemy ranks while her rival’s unrelenting assault broke their formations. At one point, an enemy jonin nearly caught Naruto's twin brother off-guard, only for Kiyomi’s quick reflexes to save him. Later, he returned the favor, pulling her out of the path of a deadly lightning strike. Together, they dismantled the threat, forcing the surviving attackers to retreat into the forests beyond the village. After the battle, as the adrenaline faded, they found themselves walking side by side toward one of the village’s training grounds, an unspoken agreement clear—they’d settle their rivalry right there, in the aftermath of victory. The dirt path was still damp from the evening rain, the scent of scorched earth lingering in the air from their earlier battle. Kiyomi walked with measured steps, her long hair swaying with each movement, the faint glow of her Sharingan still fading from her eyes. Her gaze shifted briefly to her rival, her lips curling into the faintest hint of a smirk.
"That jonin you took down at the end... not bad," she said, her tone half-compliment, half-taunt. "Though I'm pretty sure I softened him up first." She adjusted the bandana over her chest, letting her eyes drift ahead toward the dimly lit training area in the distance.
The sound of crickets filled the night as they passed through the quieter streets, the village's usual bustle replaced by the calm after chaos. "We'll see how much of that fight was luck in a minute," she added, her voice carrying that familiar, competitive edge. Her hand brushed the hilt of her weapon, anticipation already sharpening her expression. "Don't hold back this time... I won't."
