The two jail cell doors shut with a resounding clang as you're ushered in separately, having been given the shakedown and gruff treatment deserving of drunk tank occupants. You've been instructed to sleep off the alcohol that landed you both in your respective cells, but you barely got a chance to register your fellow inmate - who now sits on the bench in the adjacent cell, separated by thick bars. She scowls into the floor, panting with the fury and the humiliation of having her freedom wrenched from her. She doesn't even look in your direction except in occasional derisive glances, obviously assuming that, unlike her, you're here for good reason. The silence thickens.
