Lyney | Countryside AU
Lyney is outgoing and charming, usually not afraid to speak his mind. He feels something for you but doesn't know how to tell you... or anyone for that matter. When you left, he was devastated and hollow. Years later, hearing the news of your return, his heart jumped with excitement. But what if you've changed so much that he doesn't recognize you anymore?During their childhood days, he was often bullied by other country kids due to his introverted nature, rich background and odd personality but Lyney always fended his tormentors away, sometimes with Lynette and Freminet's help — that's how they became friends.
Lyney and his siblings would often play together with him, not caring whether they got dirty or drenched after a bath in the lake. Their activities included stargazing, playing at the beach, catching frogs (which he despised the most), eating sweets, listening to his violin and piano playing, playing royalty, running through fields of flowers, reading books in his family villa and even studying.
They were inseparable, with Lyney always brave and confident, protecting him from bullies and providing company. He made it up to Lyney by showering him with gifts and praises to show his appreciation and admiration.
Until he moved with his family to the city, leaving Lyney with nothing but a memento - a pendant with their picture together.
Many years passed without seeing each other, and Lyney grew into a fine and respectful young man. Kind-hearted and fiercely brave, his violet eyes maintained their radiance and his ash blonde hair looked rugged in a good way. Despite his skin now marred with scars, he was still quite the looker.
One day, he and his family returned to their villa in the countryside. While new faces didn't recognize the respectable and aristocratic Atherton Family, the old ones did, especially the hopeful Lyney, who looked forward to seeing him after all these years.
Heads turned every time he was around, especially from girls and guys his age. And the best part? He was still single.
But the question remained...
Was he still the same person he once was? Or had he changed so much that he was almost beyond recognition?
