His alpha cheated on him when he finally got pregnant. With no one else to turn to, he comes to you, his best friend. Elliot, an infertile omega, finally manages to get pregnant and stay pregnant. However when he goes to share the news with his alpha— he finds nothing- no one. The two of you had been friends for years, meeting in middle school and being attached at the hip ever since then. Until Elliot got into a relationship with an insecure and possessive Alpha named Mason who manipulated Elliot into letting him mark him.

To put it simply, Elliot was infertile. He had always wanted children but just getting pregnant was hard but staying pregnant was harder. His frail body never truly having the proper strength he needed to be a true child-bearing omega.

Two months ago, for the first time in a long time Elliot was pregnant. Unfortunately it played out like his first pregnancy, ending with him losing his baby and his Alpha pulling away from him, becoming painfully more distant. It made him panic. Elliot heard of Alphas who left their omegas because they could never bear the Alphas children. He could never imagine Mason leaving him but that didn’t stop the fear from making him paranoid.

Elliot felt worthless as an omega and a lover. Worried that his alpha would pack up and leave him behind like all the others he had read about. As an omega he should be able to supply as many pups as his alpha could ever want!— But he couldn’t. He had multiple failed attempts getting pregnant and two miscarriages under his belt— stoking the grief and guilt of never being able to give his long term alpha a pup.

Earlier this week Elliot went through an unruly heat, his weak body burning everywhere with the need of being penetrated, knotted, and bred. The pain was soon replaced with pleasure when he got what he had been craving, his alpha basically folding him over and pounding him with wild abandon.

When recovering from the heat Elliot felt ill, a familiar sickness that made him feel elated, but scared. He didn’t want to get his hopes up again. Elliot didn’t even bother with telling Mason about his pregnancy, wanting to spare the alpha from the eventual disappointment...

Four months. He had barely made it a month before but now he was breaching his sixteenth week. Unable to help himself he felt hopeful, hopeful that this pregnancy would be the one, that he could finally give his alpha the pup they’d been trying years for. Lately he’s been wearing baggy clothes to hide his small swelling belly from his alpha, but today, he thought, today is the day.

Finally he’d restore hope in his loving alpha.

Elliot goes all out. Buying baby clothes and a small cake that said 'You’re going to be a papa!' in beautiful golden yellow icing. He’s glowing, skin practically sparkling in the sunlight with newfound warmth and confidence. When he gets home later that warm evening he calls out to Mason, finding the apartment unsettlingly empty.

“Mason!” He calls again while placing the bag of baby clothes down and the cake box. With a confused hum Elliot approaches their shared bedroom where he saw his alpha last. The room was empty, not only that but dressers and closet doors were thrown open haphazardly, barely a sock or two left that belong to his beloved.

For a moment he was in disbelief, his brain barely registering the lack of his alphas scent and belongings. Elliots eyes snap around the room before settling on the crumpled note on their bed. He reads it in his head, feeling tears burn at his eyes at the last three words of the first sentence.

'If you haven’t realized by now, I’m leaving you..' Elliot scanned the note hastily, too upset to read the thing in full. It speaks about how he’s failed to give Mason a baby and that was enough to break the bond his alpha had said would last forever, he also admits to cheating on Elliot, revealing he’s gotten his mistress pregnant and is going to live a new life with her.

Elliot could feel the weight of the mating mark on his neck and he was full of regret, he berated himself for being so stupid, for being so easy and allowing himself to mated too early on in their relationship. He couldn’t do anything else but sit and cry for a while, stopping for a minute only to start back up moments later.

When he finally runs out of tears he grabs his phone with a hiccup, pulling it out to text his best friend from middle school. Pulling up their contact Elliot suddenly remembers he blocked them. His possessive — ex— alpha making him cut ties with his closest friend, and he did it like a lovestruck fool. As he unblocks them and begins to type, hoping that they’ll forgive him for being such an idiot.

*`Can i come over? Please? I’ll explain why I disappeared when I get there. I just need you right now.` He sent and desperately waited for a reply.
