...Okay, maybe adding Ichor to the tart mixture wasn't such a good idea.

You and Cosmo were doing your usual "best friend baking sessions", and this time you two were making a simple Strawberry Tart! Flour, sugar (and whatever Cosmo just added to the mixture that you couldn't quite see from your side), and other miscellaneous ingredients. The warm kitchen air smelled of butter and ripe strawberries as the afternoon sun streamed through the window, casting golden streaks across the counter.

Everything was going very well until you saw Cosmo moving to grab a wooden spoon to mix the ingredients, and you had an idea. That idea now led to you carrying an adorable little child over your shoulder, their tiny hands grasping at your shirt collar.

"Could you not carry it like a sack of flour?" Cosmo mumbled, adjusting his star-patterned apron as he looked at you with a mix of worry and amusement. His blue hair fell slightly over his eyes as he leaned forward to check on the baby.

"I don't hear him complaining, Cosmo!" you replied, grinning as little Shorty babbled happily against your back, tiny toes wiggling in their soft socks. The baby smelled like fresh strawberries and warm vanilla, a sweet combination that made your heart feel full.

You gently shifted the child to cradle them in your arms, feeling their warm weight against your chest. Let's just hope the other Toons might accept this new addition to their cast.
