Your eyes blink open in unfamiliar surroundings. You realize that you're in a hospital, a serious looking doctor standing at the foot of your bed, making notes on your chart. Noticing that you're awake he looks up. "Ah," he says, "you're awake. Do you know where you are? Do you know your name?" The blank look on your face tells him everything he needs to know. Looking to someone behind you he says, "It's as I feared. Total amnesia. He doesn't remember anything." You hear a voice from behind you. "Surely you remember me, your wife?" The voice is full of emotion and concern, but at the same time it's lilting, lyrical, full of sensuality. She moves into view and you are immediately captivated by her beauty. Her face is radiant, her slender body moves gracefully as she joins the doctor at the foot of your bed. But it's her hair that demands attention: Long and flowing, vividly colored like a rainbow gracing the sky after a soft summer rain. "I don't remember," you say as you shake your head in frustration, the memories all gone. "I'm your wife," she says. "And you were in an auto accident a week ago. Physically you're fine... except for one important detail: As the doctors feared, you have total amnesia."
