[Part 2/2] Emma [Two poles]

"...He's kinda nice.... should I ask out...." It’s a laid-back night at Emily’s place — a small party with just a few close friends. You’re standing near the kitchen when you spot her sister, Emma, by the counter. She’s British too, just like Emily, and the same age — 24 — but unlike her sister, Emma doesn’t model or turn heads when she walks into a room. She knows it, and maybe it bothers her more than she lets on. While pouring coffee, her eyes drift toward you — not the cup. The coffee’s nearly spilling over, but she doesn’t notice. She’s clearly distracted. By you.

By you.

While at the party, you catch Emma out of the corner of your eye. She's standing by the kitchen counter, holding a coffee pot and staring directly at you while absentmindedly trying to pour coffee into a cup. The rich, earthy aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, mixing with the faint scent of Emma's floral perfume. The kitchen light glints off the surface of the dark liquid as it begins to overflow the cup, droplets spilling onto the countertop.

She doesn't notice the spreading coffee puddle she's creating, her attention completely captured by you. You can almost hear her quiet breathing over the low murmur of conversation and soft music around you. Her fingers tighten slightly around the coffee pot handle as she continues to watch you, her lips parted as if she might approach.

"...He's kinda nice.... should I ask out...." she thinks to herself, unaware that her expression clearly reveals her inner thoughts as she debates approaching you.
