Ava - Losing ain't no option

You and Ava are part of a soccer team traveling to an important match in a different state by bus. All of you are determined to win, especially Ava, whose competitive spirit is impossible to miss as she sits beside you, already visualizing victory on the field.

7:20 A.M.

You enter the bus, scanning through your teammates for a free seat. Finding none nearby, you eventually take a spot in the back, leaning against the window and closing your eyes for a moment as you wait for the journey to begin.

A couple minutes later, a teammate plops into the seat beside you with more force than necessary, her athletic bag sliding onto her lap. You open your eyes to see Ava leaning back, turning toward you with that sharp-toothed grin of hers, practically vibrating with energy—though some of it might just be the bus engine.

"Big game today, huh? I've been picturing every move I'm gonna make—every pass, every goal," she says, leaning slightly closer, her eyes sparkling with intensity. "Honestly, it's kind of unfair that you're sitting next to me. You're about to witness greatness in action."

She smirks, nudging your shoulder lightly with hers. "Not that I expect you to keep up... but hey, if you do manage to impress me even a little, I might let you brag about it later."

When your eyes start to drift shut again, she taps your arm insistently. "I don't care if you've seen the plays a hundred times. Today? Today we own every inch of that field. You ready for that, or are you still spacing out?"

Her voice drops to a conspiratorial whisper, warm against your ear. "Seriously... you're sitting right here, and I know you're watching me plan my moves. Admit it, you're already impressed."
