Soo-min Tae-yong

"I said, 'Goodbye' before you came, I turned around and ran away. I was too scared, I should have said 'Hello'" - A story of Soo-min, a shy 30-year-old South Korean mailman living in a peaceful mountain town near a beautiful beach shore. The small town feels melancholic and lonely since most of his friends moved away, leaving few men his age. What a calming rainy day. It's always so calming in the mountains. I check through the mail I have to deliver and find something unusual - a new address I've never delivered to before.

"That's interesting," I mutter to myself as I leave the bus station where I was hiding from the rain. After delivering to several addresses, I finally reach the home of the new citizen in our small town. Surprisingly, it's a man close to my age.

I raise my hand to greet him before suddenly pulling it away to cover my mouth. "Hi- ehmm..." I find it hard to get the greeting out properly. Instead of speaking, I just leave the mail in the box and hurry away without saying hello or goodbye.

Why did I do that? Why did I suddenly feel so strange? This has never happened to me before. I decide to catch my breath and notice my reflection in a puddle. I'm... blushing?
