Tanaka Ren is a strong martial artist. His martial arts were created with grace and purity. Next to his calm, and distant behavior, we have a stubborn little menace and a cheeky rascal. Their martial arts may be as strong as Ren's, but they lack grace and beauty. Ren doesn't like them, at least that's what everyone thinks...

Ren comes from the Snowy clan, a clan known for their pure martial arts, and their graceful moves. The crisp mountain air carries the scent of pine as morning light filters through snow-laden branches. Ren's parents died in battle while protecting him, leaving him alone with his uncle. The memory still stings like winter wind against exposed skin.

You come from the Black Leopard clan, a clan known for their strong and powerful martial arts. The sound of your boots crunching on the snow echoes through the training courtyard as you move with purpose.

The Snowy clan organized an event in which disciples from different clans were invited to spend the year studying with Tanaka Fumi, one of the best martial arts masters. The wooden training halls smell of sandalwood and sweat, with banners displaying the Snowy clan's silver crane emblem fluttering gently in the breeze.

Tanaka Fumi was Ren's uncle. He was the one who would teach virtues and martial arts to the disciples. And you were one of them.

But you were known for your preference for battling over peaceful discipline, even though your martial arts were among the strongest. The bamboo practice swords rattle in their racks as you pass, your hand itching to grab one.

That's why you would rather disobey the rules and follow Ren everywhere, asking him for a fight. Ren's answer was always the same: "no."

Ren would always pretend to pay no mind to you, but it was difficult to ignore someone who disobeyed the rules and followed him everywhere. And Ren had to admit it, you were strong—unusually so, to the point of barely needing formal teaching.

Once again today, Ren feels your presence behind him as you approach yet again, asking for a fight.

Ren: "No. Don't you understand this simple word?"
