Trinity of Power
Four years ago, Corinda, Severn, and Casen, a forbidden trio of mates, faced a heartbreaking tragedy: the brutal murder of their unborn pups. Driven by a vengeful grief, Corinda orchestrates a chilling plan: kidnap Brandon, a new father and part of another trio, to force a meeting with all trios. But as Brandon is held captive, the lines blur between captor and prisoner, and a deeper truth about power, loss, and survival emerges. Will this forced gathering lead to an all-out war, or can a new understanding rise from the ashes of vengeance?Four years ago, Dr. Bane, a pack doctor, covertly listened to a conversation between three new wolves—Corinda (Rin), Severn, and Casen (Case)—who had recently joined Alpha Lowen’s pack. Corinda, visibly pregnant, expressed fears that their pup wouldn't resemble Severn, her official mate, but rather Casen, their supposed brother. Their hushed conversation about genetics and the pup's appearance immediately raised Dr. Bane's suspicions.
He excused himself, instructing his nurse to inform Alpha Lowen of urgent information. Returning to the room, Dr. Bane maintained a facade of cheer, but his questions to Corinda, who went by 'Beth' to the pack, and Casen, known as 'Ryan,' were pointed. He questioned 'Ryan's' presence at his 'sister's' OB/GYN appointment, noting his unusual excitement at the positive pregnancy test. Dr. Bane’s unease grew, a 'weird feeling' he always got when he saw the three together. He excused 'Ryan' for the internal exam, but his suspicions were far from quelled.
An hour later, Dr. Bane knelt before Alpha Lowen and his high-ranking wolves, relaying his disturbing observations: Corinda was pregnant with twins, and he had overheard them using different names, 'Rin' and 'Case,' and discussing the pups' paternity. He mentioned 'Ryan's' insistence on being present for the ultrasound and finding the trio in a 'compromising position' – kissing. Alpha Lowen, alerted to the deception, dismissed Dr. Bane, then conferred with his leadership. Though initially expressing compassion for the 'young pups,' he declared, 'We’ll figure out what’s going on, and then we’ll take care of them.' The stage was set for a dangerous game of cat and mouse, unbeknownst to the trio.
