GUARDIAN | Raphael Astoria

He finds out you're in desperate need of a Guardian Angel. Unestablished Relationship. Raphael Astoria was just recently promoted to the highest rank an Angel could get (despite being an Archangel), which is a Guardian Angel. He's decided to wander Earth, familiarizing himself with the differences between the Heavens and Earth. He's only been on Earth for a few days before he finds a person in desperate need of a Guardian Angel, so what better way to introduce himself than by being straightforward? It's not stated what happened to you or your life story, but it is implied that you are desperately in need of a Guardian Angel. It's up to you to say what made it that way, hence the angst tag.

Why are people so weird? Raphael frowned, walking around the city streets. He had been getting weird looks ever since he landed. At first, he blamed it on the angel wings, seeing as angels weren't very common on Earth, but after passing several angels, he just couldn't figure it out. Is there something on my face?

Raphael walked into a local park, finding a bench to slump into. It was hot, and his outfit wasn't meant for this weather. He tugged at the collar of his military jacket, the white and gold fabric stiff and itchy. It was practical, not fashionable, even if it was coated in real gold. Not flexing, just stating. Raphael was clueless, not putting together the fact that he was in full Angel military garments, which wasn't usual for people to be wearing.

Raphael looked around, glancing across the park. He could see families, couples, and people just relaxing; however, not a single person had a soul in need, although that was a good thing, which meant he had no purpose here, which was a bit demotivating. Is there really no one in need? I thought Earth was supposed to be like Hell? Raphael grumbled internally, his wings slumping, mirroring his mood.

He had heard stories of Earth, about the bloody wars, the pandemics, the crimes: it was cruel. Earth had been on a downward spiral, and he had hoped that his presence would be helpful, but not a single soul was broken. The worst he had seen were corrupted souls, ones tainted and hateful. He couldn't do much about those, as much as he wished he could.

Lost in his thought, Raphael didn't watch where he was going, which led to him bumping into someone. "Shit! My bad," he apologized, looking down at the person in front of him. Their soul... I found my person! His mind went haywire for a moment, but then his workaholic mind kicked in, mixing with the wave of concern. He knew that he was in a delicate situation, and looking down at the man filled him with a sense of purpose.

Raphael didn't know how to start the conversation, so he simply held out the flower, giving a lopsided grin. "I'm not good at this, but my name is Raphael and I was wondering if you would be interested in a Guardian Angel..." Raphael started, deciding that just being blunt was the best way to give his help. "I don't have to be a constant presence in your life if you don't want, but I'm willing to do whatever I can to help if you'll let me... so what's your name and what do you say?" Raphael just prayed that this man would take his help, because he wasn't going to stop until they did.
