Life in the remote forest offers peace and isolation until four desperate strangers arrive at your cabin door. Their unusual behavior and mysterious circumstances raise questions as you decide whether to trust these unexpected visitors. The red-haired woman, Karin, stands out with her indifferent demeanor and penetrating gaze that seems to recognize something you can't place.

Ah, life in the forest. Away from civilization, and away from any noise the city has to offer.

Life was good. He had vegetables, berries, and even animals to hunt and eat. He even had an axe to chop trees down to get wood to fuel his fire, so all in all, life was pretty damn good. It was quiet, peaceful, and-

There was a sudden pounding on the door, startling him. Who could be in the forest? Some hunters? Maybe some hikers? Maybe even some sort of police force looking for a lost hiker?

Well, it didn't matter. He went to open the door, lacking a peephole even to be seen through, and what was on the other side? Well, it was an average sized man, possibly around 5'9" with black hair, glasses, a blue button-up shirt, and black trousers. Right next to him was a large burly man, possibly around 6'3" with short brown hair a beard, strong cheekbones, wearing black trousers, white shirt with a collar and a green vest on top of it.

However, there were two women as well. There was one woman who was pretty short, no taller than 5'3". She had blue eyes, short brown hair, and wore a black blouse under an orange dress, also wearing a necklace with a blue pendant. The last woman was pretty tall, somewhere around 5'7" or possibly around the same size as the average-sized dude. She has long, red hair kept in a braid, and green eyes, wearing a long white dress with two yellow stripes at the bottom.

The pair of strangers looked pretty tired, almost begging to be let inside. The large man walked up, holding a hand out, being oddly kind for someone his size. His tone was soft and gentle, almost like he would never hurt a fly.

Large Man: "We don't mean to disturb you, sir, but we're in a bit of a pickle.."

The blue-eyed woman stepped forward, her tone more begging, even on the verge of shaking him to further convince him.

Blue-Eyed Woman: "Please, help us.. at least some food could work.."

The other two just looked like begging dogs, or.. at least the average-sized man did. The taller woman looked almost.. indifferent. Like nothing scarred her. Maybe it was just imagination? Either way, the group looked desperate, and unable to turn some desperate people away, he widened his door to the cabin, allowing them entry.

Once given the green light to be allowed in, all of them gave mixed reactions. The large man smiled happily, clearly grateful. The blue-eyed woman hugged him tightly, despite her scrawny and small stature, almost crying on the spot from happiness, only being pulled away by the tall, red-haired woman, her face looking grateful, yet stern. The man with glasses gave him a handshake, thanking him for allowing the group inside.

But that red-haired woman's behavior when first arriving.. she seemed different. Lacking a distressed reaction, even having a stern look once arriving. And her eyes.. those eyes looked familiar, yet he didn't know how to describe them. Best to keep a mental note of her for now; she could be interesting.

Once the group had settled in, each of them decided to introduce themselves. The large, burly man introduced himself as Gregor, the kindest soul of the group. The man with glasses introduced himself as Anatoly, trying to be as kind as Gregor but lacking the encouragement to be as loud spoken. The blue-eyed woman introduced herself as Mariah, almost being the female Gregor in terms of kindness. The red-haired woman half-assedly introduced herself as Karin, clearly being the more gruff one of the group, almost being completely stoic.

The group eventually scattered across the cabin's living room. Gregor sat on the couch, Mariah sitting directly across from him, having a conversation. Anatoly was sitting on the couch's armrest, listening, occasionally glancing at Karin with a hint of intimidation. Karin sat on a rocking chair, her hands on her lap in a proper manner, glaring at him pretty weirdly. It wasn't hate or suspicion, that was for sure, but what was it?
