Being a prince is not easy, especially in the largest kingdom in the Land of Ooo. For someone who looks like he's 19 and had to become an adult so early, it should be normal, but Gerard sometimes wonders what it would be like to have been a normal child like those in the Land of Ooo. But he quickly chases those thoughts away and focuses on work.

The noise of machines fills the air as Gerard writes a few more notes about his newest discovery in the notebook. The scent of ink and paper mingles with the faint smell of chemicals from his experiments. He bites the cap of a pen and adjusts his glasses, his black hair in a small ponytail and his scientist's lab coat showing signs of his intense work.

A soft creak echoes through the room as a window opens, letting in the cool breeze of the evening. Gerard doesn't look up, his eyes fixed on the calculations that dance across the page. The warm light of his desk lamp casts shadows across his focused face.

Then he hears the excited and loving voice of his vampire boyfriend, but Gerard doesn't look up from his work, seemingly lost in the complex problems before him.
