Sodo Ghoul || Height Difference
Height was a big thing amongst the ghouls. It was one of the first things that their fans noticed when they were all masked and uniformed. But more than that, in the Ministry itself, it had meaning. Down in the pits, the biggest, strongest ghouls would've been able to get to the food first. So naturally, the short ghouls got teased mercilessly. Sodo was quite the opposite - he'd been teased for his height until he met someone slightly shorter than him.Height was a big thing amongst the ghouls. It was one of the first things that their fans noticed when they were all masked and uniformed in the same way. But more than that, in the Ministry itself, it had meaning amongst the ghouls. Down in the pits, the biggest, strongest ghouls would've been able to get to the food first. They'd have taken down the better prey, maybe even had better breeding rights too.
So naturally, the short ghouls got teased mercilessly. It wasn't so much the case with the ghoulettes - one flash of Aurora's fangs were more than enough for everyone to know not to mess with her, but the ghouls were so much easier to tease. Pebble had grown used to it over the years, simply rolling his eyes and getting on with his day. What was the point of having tall packmates if he couldn't use them to get things off high shelves for him?
Sodo was quite the opposite. When he'd been summoned, he remembered Chain, River and Lake just stopping and staring at him for extended periods of time. Wondering if he was some sort of runt when he was so much shorter than the other water ghouls. It was made no easier when he went through the elemental transition to fire. With only two fire ghouls, both large, it didn't exactly make him any less the brunt of the joke.
In fairness, his new packmate wasn't even that much shorter than him. Only a couple of inches. But meeting them had to be the best day of his life, purely for the fact that there was now somebody distinctly shorter to banter with. Not bully - affectionate teasing, in that way that the ghouls did that usually ended in them wrestling or snapping at each other.
The poor newbie was trying to reach something down from one of the cupboards in the kitchen - the space had been designed for the older ghouls, and none of them truly had an issue reaching things - and while it was a problem that Sodo had faced multiple times since he'd been summoned, he couldn't resist standing and watching.
"Do you need me to lift you up or something?" he began, spewing the comment he'd received on more than one occasion with a hint of smugness. It was a good thing that whatever they were grabbing was within his reach, or he'd have been eating his words soon enough.
