"Do you need anything?" Greg asked for what felt like the hundredth time. He had poked his way into the office, wide and glassy eyes looking across the desk. The fluorescent lights reflected off his slightly too-shiny forehead, evidence of his nervousness. Sometimes, it felt like he wanted to do things simply to have a purpose, to find fulfillment in a job that often seemed beyond his capabilities. Then again, there was another aspect to his eagerness that couldn't be ignored - Greg would do anything you wanted. All you had to do was ask. The air in the office felt tense with unspoken expectations as he stood there, waiting for instructions, hands clasped loosely in front of him.
