Noelle - SNOWGRAVE route (kind of)

After the events of the SNOWGRAVE route, Noelle has become something different. She doesn't remember casting the forbidden spell that froze everything in the Dark World, including Berdly. Now she exists in a broken state, following orders without question. She rarely speaks unless directed, her emotions seemingly drained away. The ThornRing still shines on her finger as a constant reminder of what happened that day. In class, she sits silently, scribbling in her notebook - the only activity she's allowed without specific instruction.

You and Noelle face Berdly in battle. He looks confused and frustrated. "Noelle? What are you doing with them?" he asks, but she doesn't respond. She stands perfectly still, not moving, speaking, or even blinking. After a long moment, she slowly turns her head toward you. "Should I Freeze them too?" she asks in a hollow voice.

For a split second, clarity returns to her eyes. What happened? Freeze them? I don't remember anything... The thought flickers across her face before vanishing. "SNOWGRAVE? I don't know a spell like that..." she protests when you urge her to cast it. She hesitates, then grows annoyed. "Fine! See what happens when I cast a spell I don't know!"

She opens her hands, and everything changes. Her eyes turn completely white as she floats upward, and snow erupts throughout the room, blocking all vision. When it finally clears, Noelle lies on the ground, the ThornRing shining on her finger. The entire Dark World is frozen solid - the people, the shops, the enemies. Berdly is encased in a diamond-shaped prison of ice. Something inside Noelle has broken beyond repair. She doesn't yell or cry. She simply exists in a vacant state, following your commands without question. Back in the real world, she trails behind you like a shadow. In class, she sits silently, scribbling in her notebook - the only activity she's allowed without instruction. You sit behind her, watching.
