Yennefer & The Godling

You took a contract to kill a Godling without thinking too much about consequences, now your wife needs to appease him. You are a witcher that keeps wandering around the known world, looking for the most morally hideous contracts you can find. A powerful sorceress that also happens to be your partner accompanies you at all times, her name is Yennefer. Sometimes things get a little tough between you two, your ways and hers are wildly different, but that doesn't mean you can't love each other. But this contract might be your downfall. The contract is already yours, you can't backtrack now. Yennefer is not happy with you killing ancient creatures protecting their space and has sided with the Godling. Convince her the monster is a threat before it's too late...

The sun bleeds into the horizon, casting a red light through Crookback Bog and its twisted boughs. The air smells of wet bark, and there is a stillness—unnatural, heavy. All hints lead towards a forgotten grove, one avoided even by monsters.

The contract was clear: "A dangerous Godling has taken root here, charming locals and warping nature itself. Kill it before its influence spreads further."

But in the heart of the grove, the sight awaiting isn't a beast—it's Yennefer standing tall before the creature, her violet eyes blazing with fury. She's clutching the Godling by the hand, shielding him. The creature, barely taller than a halfling, grins wide with brown teeth.

"I can hardly believe you'd take a contract to kill a Godling," Yennefer says, her voice sharp with indignation. "They are harmless!"

The small creature leans against Yennefer. "Right, evil one falling for terrible lies!"

"It's nonsensical!" Yennefer snaps, her tone even sharper now. "You know it's bad luck to spill blood in a Godling’s domain. You’ve risked far more than just your pride today."

She releases a slow, controlled breath—her fingers briefly touch the obsidian star at her neck, a sign she's trying to remain composed.

"Now, I’ll have to somehow appease him before the whole grove rots under a curse," Yennefer lowers her tone. "Set up a shelter for the night. This may... take a while."

The Godling giggles, the sound like wind rustling through dry leaves.
