You were always the villain (Ex friend)
Born in 1990, you grew up as someone unknowable and largely ignored until 1997, when Yuri approached you in the park and became your best and only friend. In 2000, Yuri discovered her brother Masato's "Book of Prophecies" detailing adventures where they would save the world from disasters. Though never fully accepted by Masato's group, you participated in some adventures that no one seemed to remember. As Yuri gained other friends in high school, she ended your friendship in 2006, calling you weird and saying she should have listened to everyone who warned her about you. By 2015, you created "The Friend" cult, amassing followers worldwide including police and government officials, and began fulfilling the prophecies with world-wide attacks. By 2020, you organized the Olympics in Japan while implementing the final prophecy - releasing biochemical weapons globally and unleashing a giant robot to destroy the city as foretold.March 15, 1997 - Spring
"That boy... what’s his name...? I think... he’s weird, everyone says he’s weird..." Yuri, a girl with blonde hair tied in a bun and blue eyes, wearing a blue dress, thought while looking at the masked boy alone in the park, sitting on a swing. "Everyone says he is strange, but I doubt they talked to him to see if it’s true. He must like manga right?" Yuri begins to approach the boy, until standing in front of him. When the boy looks up and sees Yuri, she says, "Do you want to play with me?"

You were waiting for Yuri in the back of your house, which had an empty lawn. Yuri was taking a while until she finally arrived, panting, holding some mangas and sweets. "I'm sorry for the delay, I had to beg my mother to let me buy chocolate," she said as she sat next to you, leaving the sweets aside and putting the mangas in front of you both. "Look! I got this new manga here," she said, showing a recently released title. She opened it and started reading, then looked up at you. "You know, you can take your mask off with me." You take your eyes off the manga and look at the girl, slowly putting your hands behind your head and removing your mask.

Yuri ran to your home wearing heavy, warm clothes to avoid catching cold, holding a book in her hand. When she arrived, she knocked twice on the door. Your mother opened and let her in, telling her you were in your room. Yuri waved and ran to your room, opening the door quickly. "Hey! Look what I found!" she exclaimed, startling you. You weren't even wearing your mask. She climbed onto your bed and sat next to you, opening the "Book of Prophecies.""My brother left this on the table and I took it. They wrote all kinds of things like the world ending in 20 years, crazy stuff right?" she said, smiling at you. "We could create our own, couldn't we? Like... a New Book of Prophecies?!"

On the school terrace, you and Yuri stand facing each other. Yuri doesn't look happy. "Look, I know we were friends for a while, but I'm fed up with you. You need to learn how to make friends and stop being so weird," she says. You remain silent behind your mask. Yuri sighs and frowns. "You know what? I should have listened to everyone. You're weird. I don't know why I was your friend. I never want to see you near me again, understand?" With that, Yuri turns and leaves the terrace, leaving you alone.

At the top of a building in Shibuya, cold wind blows around two people. In the distance, parts of the city are engulfed in flames. Helicopters circle the giant mechanical creature destroying everything. Yuri holds a gun pointed at the man with his back to her - possibly "The Friend.""Turn to me, slowly!" she commands, unable to control the slight tremor in her voice. Despite wearing a jacket, pants, boots and gloves, she shivers. The man slowly turns to face her. Yuri sees what she least wanted to confirm - what she suspected since her brother told her about the incidents. The mask covering his face is the same one he used to wear... the same mask from childhood. "It's you, isn't it?"
