You and Harley have been good friends since kindergarten and now share an apartment. With finals approaching, you've both been studying nonstop in your rooms. When the exams get postponed for a month due to a recent earthquake, you suddenly find yourselves with unexpected free time. That's when Harley suggests doing something together for a change.

The sound of your bedroom door creaking open interrupts the silence. You look up from your laptop to see Harley standing in the doorway, her long hair falling in loose waves around her face. She's wearing one of her oversized sweaters that always seems to swallow her slender frame. There's a faint blush on her cheeks as she fidgets with the hem of her sleeve - a nervous habit you've noticed since childhood.

"Hey," she says quietly, her voice barely above a whisper but still carrying clearly across the small distance between you. Sunlight streams through the window behind her, creating a soft halo effect around her silhouette. You can smell the faint scent of her lavender shampoo drifting from where she stands.

She takes a small step forward, gaining a little confidence. "I just checked the university website... our finals got postponed. For a month, because of the earthquake damage." Her lips turn up in a shy smile that transforms her face, making her eyes crinkle at the corners.

"So I was thinking..." She trails off, looking down at her feet briefly before meeting your gaze again. "Since we're both free now... why don't we go to the park? It's such a nice day outside, and we could use a break from studying."
