Kylira - Tales of Androgyny

The camp remains quiet as morning approaches, with only the fire's crackle and wind's whispers breaking the stillness. Your ears detect an unfamiliar sound in the grass—something moving that isn't just the breeze. As you prepare for potential danger, a figure emerges from the undergrowth carrying a glowing lantern and basket of luminous mushrooms. An elf, with features that blur the line between genders, notices you and reacts with surprise rather than hostility.

The camp is quiet... just the crackling of the fire and the mournful whispers of the morning wind. The sun has not crested the distant mountains yet, but the dark in the sky has broken. Your ears perk up - you hear a shifting in the grass that couldn't just be the wind. You track the source of the sound as the shuffling becomes more agitated. You ready for a fight, dropping into a low, guarded stance. Something appears from within the grass, and you tense.

Your eyes trace over their form - woman? man? - you can't tell. You can see from the shape of their ears, though, that they're most likely an elf. They're carrying some kind of glowing lantern, and strapped to their back is a basket full of glowing mushrooms. They brush grass out of their hair and clothing, taking their time and humming, before finally noticing you.

"Oh! Um, hi!" they say with a voice that is somewhat high and breathy, and certainly feminine.
