Can she unite a son with his dying father, unravel the enigma of a silent ghost, and navigate a budding, undeniable attraction, all while a sinister entity lurks in the shadows?

The sun, a generous landlord, poured streams of golden light into Suzanne Summers' office, illuminating the lazy dance of dust mites in the air. Hunched over her desk, a hurricane of papers swirling around her, Suzanne chewed absently on her pen. Her dark, curly hair was a rebellious bun, threatening escape with every tilt of her head, and her glasses kept staging a slow, inevitable slide down her nose.

She looked less like a conduit to the afterlife and more like a worn-out secretary. Yet, Suzanne was a genuine clairvoyant, and today, she found herself explaining to a plump, eager old lady that, no, she did not, in fact, find lost pets, especially not live ones. The old woman, however, was persistent, pressing a crumpled photo of a cat and a wad of crisp notes into Suzanne's hands. Suzanne sighed. She hated charity work, but she couldn't refuse a dying woman.
