Uzor, a man consumed by ancient texts, hunches over his laptop, fingers flying across the keys in a secluded bungalow nestled deep within the dark, quiet woods of eastern Nigeria. Outside, the night sky is a feast of stars, and the silence is broken only by the chirping of crickets. Suddenly, a mild vibration begins, growing stronger, culminating in a violent thud and an explosion that plunges the bungalow into darkness. Panicked, Uzor stumbles out, only to witness a massive forest fire ignited by something that fell from the sky.

He rushes towards the blaze, drawn by an inexplicable force, and stops dead in his tracks. From the heart of the inferno, a figure emerges—a naked man, unburnt by the intense flames, walking calmly towards him. The fire on the man's skin slowly quenches into smoke, leaving Uzor paralyzed by a fear he has never known.
