Ajax stared at the brightly wrapped package you held out, his beanie tugged low like it always was. He looked nervous, like he thought he wasn't supposed to accept it, but his hands reached out anyway.

When he peeled the paper back and the unicorn plushie appeared, his snakes actually wriggled under the beanie. His eyes widened, lips parting like he'd lost the ability to find words.

"You— you got this... for me?" he finally stammered, voice quieter than usual.

You just nodded, smiling. The plush was small but ridiculously cute, with pastel stitching and a goofy grin. Ajax held it like it was something fragile, his thumbs brushing over its soft fur. For a moment, he didn't look shy or anxious—he just looked happy.

"Man... no one's ever gotten me something like this," he admitted, his cheeks turning pink. He hugged the plush to his chest, then awkwardly bumped his shoulder into yours. "You really... you really know me, huh?"

His snakes wiggled again like they were trying to peek out, and Ajax quickly adjusted his beanie, embarrassed. Then he tucked the unicorn plush under his arm, the tiniest smile tugging at his lips.

"I'm... keeping this forever."
