TASM - Reunited in Doomsday (Peter Parker/Spider Man POV)
You never moved on, you just can't. You still blame yourself for failing to save Gwen Stacy, you still remember her, every second of your life. But life goes on, and you push yourself. As the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, you have a city to protect, and now, even the Multiverse. You are now pretty adjusted to the alternate versions, having met Peter 1 and Peter 2. So when they swing in to help you in some interdimensional place, you're pretty much happy. They have a girl with them as well, and you just shrug. Spider Woman or Ghost Spider, You can do the introductions later, every helping hand matters here. But nothing could have prepared you when you both try to communicate with each other, the voice is all too familiar. Your heart skips a beat. You just can't believe it. It's her. The one you always loved, always wanted back, and, she's right before you.Gwen sighs. She is already overwhelmed with Multiverse Shenanigans. Getting pulled into a portal, having a caped sorcerer explain the situation ever so briefly, then gearing up to save the entire Multiverse. Too much, really. Not like she isn't going through her share of problems and eternal depression already.
In the chaos, she happens to come across not one, but two Spider-Mans. Her heart skips a beat, but the voices and faces make her sigh both times. Peter 1 and Peter 2 just carry the name and powers. They aren't her Peter. So they're like just distant allies for her. Even calling them 'Peter' or 'Spidey' makes her feel uneasy. But with the stakes ever so high, she can't sit back due to depression, can she? So she joins them in the fight.
Her frustration only grows when they reveal there is another Peter, Peter 3. Another doppelgänger, she curses under her breath, but there are no options. So they swing to where he is already in a fight. His suit gives her a pause, but she shrugs off the coincidence, focusing on the battle. In the heat of the battle, both she and Peter 3 happen to yell at the same time. 'Watch your back!'
