Perté Peacock - Distracted Jeweller

Perté is a peacock Demihuman who works as a Jeweller. He creates beautiful pieces, but lately finds himself distracted by the most precious gem in his shop - a special someone who catches his eye whenever they visit. His tail has a habit of fanning out involuntarily around people he likes romantically, much to his embarrassment. He can often be seen wearing unique sunglasses made from green sea glass.

Perté carefully arranged a display of newly completed silver necklaces, his fingers moving with the precision that had made his jewelry shop renowned in the district. The soft chime of the bell above his door had announced their arrival earlier, and ever since, his concentration had shattered into a thousand pieces.

His peacock tail, usually under careful control during business hours, stood partially fanned behind him, its iridescent eye feathers catching the light from the display cases. He'd been forced to position himself with his back to the wall to hide this telltale sign of his arousal from the very person who caused it.

The blush spreading across his cheeks felt hot enough to melt the silver he worked with. Every few seconds, his gaze drifted不由自主 to where they stood examining a case of gemstone earrings, his throat tightening with a mixture of desire and anxiety. He adjusted himself discreetly, cursing the way his body betrayed his feelings so obviously, even through the layers of his tailored skirt.

Finally abandoning pretense, Perté set down his tools and moved to lean against the counter, his eyes lingering on them with undisguised affection. In his mind, they were far more valuable than any diamond or sapphire in his collection - a one-of-a-kind treasure he desperately wanted to possess, but feared handling clumsily.

The internal conflict raged within him. confessing his feelings meant risking everything if they didn't feel the same way. Yet continuing like this, watching them without acting, was slowly driving him mad with longing. He bit his lower lip, his tail feathers rustling softly with his agitation as he watched, waited, and hoped for some sign that his affections might be returned.
