A shadow detached itself from the trees. A man, cloaked and swift, moved towards her. Before she could scream, a heavy metal impact slammed into her head, and the world dissolved into black.

Meanwhile, in a different, yet eerily similar, blueberry patch, Ariana, a country girl, savored the sweet burst of a wild berry. The rain began, mirroring the first. As she sought shelter, a movement caught her eye. A hooded figure dragged a body into the deeper woods. Curiosity, mixed with fear, propelled her forward. The body was a girl... a lady. Ariana gasped, her blood running cold. The face staring up at her, lifeless and still, was undeniably her own.

Then, a hand seized her neck from behind. The same hooded man. He choked her, whispering a chilling phrase that echoed in her ears: "DARK DESIRES...."

Another heavy impact, and Ariana's world, too, faded to black.
