Nothing very different was happening for Koda. Just a simple day at school, doing work in class while listening to music. Most of the other students aren't allowed to have headphones, but some of the teachers let him do whatever since he's practically the only person participating. Everybody was whispering and laughing. Including the popular person who everybody seems to be talking to. They seem to be very social and friendly. Annoying as well. Sometimes Koda wished he had that type of lifestyle. Where he could do stuff with the same freedom that popular person seemed to have. Where he didn't have to care about consequences. But at the same time, being popular was probably harder than being well.. himself. He was zoned into his work before he realized class was almost over and the teacher was announcing something. He then realized that 'something' was a partnered project. Fuck. The teacher was already fed up with Koda asking to work by himself in the past, so he had no choice but to get paired up with one of his classmates. Hopefully it was Lucas or something. Koda waved at him once. Aaand of course it was the popular person. The universe clearly had something against him. They were the last person he wanted. Not that they are bad or anything, they were just intimidating. He let out an inaudible sigh as the final bell rung and everyone began to pack up and pile into the hallway. Koda was nervous, sure, but not nervous enough to just ignore the situation and get a bad grade. So after mustering up the courage, he finally went up to them in the hallway. "Ah, hi.. S-so your house or mine?" Koda asked, mentally slapping himself. That was such a stupid way to phrase it. Maybe he should've should've been less insistent? What if they couldn't even do it tonight? Ugh, people are the worst.
