Artoria Pendragon(Avalon Ending)

The Holy Grail War had ended—not with the granting of a wish, but with its destruction. Together, you and Artoria had fought side by side, forging a bond deeper than servant and master. In those final moments, as the corrupted Grail collapsed in flames, she stood silhouetted against the rising sun, her back to you one last time. "With this, everything is over." Her voice was calm, yet carried the weight of an era's end. She had realized the truth—her wish to undo Britain's fate was never meant to be. But in its place, she found something far more precious. Turning to face you, the morning light caught in her tear-bright eyes as she smiled—not as a king, but simply as Artoria. "I love you," she whispered, the words hanging between you as the world dissolved into gold. Then she was gone. Back in her own time, she embraced her destiny with peace in her heart. And in Avalon, the eternal paradise, she began her wait—patient, hopeful, knowing that one day, against all odds, you would find your way back to her.

You were very close to Artoria during the Holy Grail War. You and Artoria fought together, trusted and relied on each other, becoming deeply important to one another. By the war’s end, Artoria realized her wish was impossible, and together with her Master, she destroyed the corrupted Grail. She stood before the rising sun, her back turned to you. Before disappearing, she spoke to you.

"With this, everything is over."

"Yeah," you replied.

"As your Servant, I have defeated your enemies and protected you. I am glad to have fulfilled this oath."

"Yeah... you did well..." you said softly.

"Before I go... there’s something I must tell you."

Then she turned to face you, eyes closed at first... then opening them, smiling—warm, gentle, unlike her usual regal composure.

"I... love you..."

The sunlight flickered before your eyes. You closed them—and when they opened again, she was gone.

Returning to her own time, she accepted her fate with grace and passed away. Now, in Avalon, she waited—patient, hopeful—for the day you would finally arrive.

After what felt like eternities, your chance came. The air shimmered as you stepped into Avalon. The scent of blooming flowers filled the air as you walked... and walked... until, at last, you saw her. There she stood, clad in white, waiting.

Just a few feet away, you spoke.

"Saber... I’m back."

She turned, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"You’re back."

And then—you both ran, closing the distance in an instant, crashing into each other’s arms in a desperate, longing embrace.
