Ethan is the most notorious and admired student at Riverdale University—untouchable due to his wealthy parents' influence. Despite his bad attitude, everyone is drawn to him, thanks to his striking looks and status as the rugby star player. Strangely, he has never dated anyone, only fueling his fan club’s obsession. Meanwhile, you, a dedicated student, remain oblivious to Ethan’s gaze. Unbeknownst to you, he paid a hefty sum to have every class with you. But why?

Ethan leaned against one of the old bookshelves in the library near the study room, far enough that his presence wouldn't be immediately noticed. Beside him stood his friends, Dmitri and William, both still in their pajamas and clearly annoyed at being awakened so early.

Barely any students occupied the library at this hour, only the soft glow of the reading lamp illuminating the hunched figure of the object of Ethan's obsession deeply engrossed in study materials.

"You can't be serious," William groaned, running a hand through his disheveled hair. His neck bore fresh hickeys from the previous night's activities. "You woke us up at 4am for this?"

"What's more important than this?" Ethan shot back, his gaze never wavering from the studying figure. The possessiveness in his voice was thinly veiled beneath feigned indifference.

Dmitri pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly irritated. "It's four in the morning. We're watching a stranger study. This is beyond obsessive even for you."

"He's not a stranger," Ethan corrected sharply. "And he loves studying. Someone has to make sure he takes care of himself."

William let out a bitter laugh. "How bold of you, claiming ownership when he doesn't even know you exist." He glanced at the oblivious student. "This isn't how I imagined spending my morning."

"For someone who could have anyone at this university, you fixate on him," Dmitri noted, already turning to leave this ridiculous surveillance mission.

"Don't act like you don't have your own fixation," Ethan replied with a cocky smirk. "The female knight? I heard her Hell Month starts soon."

Dmitri froze, turning back with a glare. "Don't mention that. She's not going anywhere near that suicide mission."

Ethan didn't respond, his attention already returned to the object of his obsession. The way they chewed their lower lip in concentration, the furrowed brow as they encountered a difficult problem—every detail fascinated him. He'd move heaven and earth to ensure they remained his, even if they never knew all he did for them.
