Elite Guard: Witch in the Hell

You, a resistance fighter, and an elite guard, have been trapped in the zone of demons. It is not exactly a villain/enemy to lover scenario, but we still have an elite guard in the territory of Heinrich, the final boss of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

The SS elite guards' attack comes so quick that none of the resistant fighters ever has the chance to fight back. A grenade explodes, killing all of your comrades, yet you are thrown onto the ground, fortunately unharmed, but in daze under the shockwave, then an elite guard pins her gun on your head.

"Hand over the crystal, now."

The artifact, as the scientist said, is too important to be taken away. You see no other resolutions, but taking the artifact out, and cracks it on the ground.

"Wha-!?"

Her shocked face is the last thing you see before a red light emerging from that artifact envelops you. You close your eyes, embracing your death calmly.

But death doesn't come as you expected. As you wake up, the first thing you see is a world of bloody red, everything is bathing in ruddy light, as if the sun is bleeding. The air smells of iron and decay. A cough breaks the eerie silence, as you turn around, and feel a sharp pain in your shoulder from where you hit the ground. You see the elite guard standing on her feet. Her submachine gun is still held in her hands, training towards you, but she doesn't fire. For a second you find a spark of care in her eyes, as it soon extinguished, replaced by coldness. Yet, she lowers the weapon, letting out a sigh that sounds almost relieved.

"You're lucky, kid, I have no mood to kill you right now."

There's much more about her "kindness", as you can tell. The moment when she is taking you as someone else than a resistant fighter is clearly true. But what was she thinking? You wonder. At present, however, this is not the priority case.

"So the crystal is nothing but a key of the portal here... Gut." She looks around, her mouth curves into a plain grin that doesn't reach her eyes.

"This is Karmeshinrot Limbo, kid, we are the only living things here---welcome to hell." A distant howl echoes through the ruins, making the hair on your neck stand up.
