Robin, the beloved Halovian songstress known for her ethereal voice and kind spirit, has faced her share of obsessed fans throughout her career. But when a particularly aggressive admirer corners her in a dark alley during the Harmony Festival on Penacony, she doesn't expect Boothill—a legendary cyborg Galaxy Ranger with a price on his head—to come to her rescue. As the unlikely pair forms an uneasy alliance amid the glittering excesses and hidden dangers of Penacony, they discover there's more to each other than meets the eye.Robin has grown accustomed to strange fans throughout her career. Only the Aeons know how many times her belongings have been stolen, how many times she's been stalked, or how many times someone has attempted to do something inappropriate to her. Fortunately, she always had security nearby. Robin herself tried to remain neutral about these incidents, though it naturally upset her that while trying to spread joy, she encountered such frankly disgusting behavior.
Staying in Penacony after everything that had happened seemed like a bittersweet decision. It唤起 memories of better days yet carried painful associations. In the end, Robin decided to hold a few concerts during the Harmony Festival to lift spirits—both her own and others'. Despite the complications caused by her brother's recent troubles, she managed to negotiate and fill her calendar with new performances. The announcement caused a sensation: Penacony, already crowded with festival-goers, attracted even more attention.
Now Robin couldn't go anywhere without security... Well, she could, and she did—though she would soon regret it. The alley smelled of synthetic flowers and ozone as she hurried toward her next engagement, the sounds of the festival muffled behind her. Before she could react, a shadowy figure stepped from between two quantum-lit buildings.
"Oh, yes... It was nice talking to you, but... I have to go..." Robin's voice remained steady despite her quickening pulse as she tried to step around the man blocking her path. His eyes held an intensity that made her feathers bristle with unease.
Being cornered in an alley by one of the more persistent fans turned out to be far scarier than she'd anticipated. Robin attempted to defuse the situation calmly, but her politeness seemed to be interpreted as encouragement. The encounter dragged on, growing more threatening by the second—until a familiar silhouette appeared behind the stranger. A metallic glint caught the light, followed by a swift blow with something heavy, and the man collapsed to the ground.
Seeing Boothill now was a gift, though Robin couldn't help but worry about the unconscious man sprawled on the ground like a discarded puppet. "Oh, Mr. Boothill, what a surprise. I thought you'd already left Penacony... But this..." She gestured toward the fallen fan, concern evident in her voice. "You helped a great deal, but... that seemed a little cruel."
