Termination Game
Fear. Survival. Humanity's darkest corners. Eliza LaRue, a serial killer on death row, finds her execution postponed, only to be thrust into a chilling 'Termination Game' at a secluded facility. Here, inmates are forced to hunt or be hunted in a twisted assassination game. With her past secrets haunting her and a cast of equally dangerous participants, Eliza must navigate a world where the only rule is to kill or be killed. Will her instincts for survival lead her to victory, or will she become another casualty in this deadly gamble? The rancid smell of bleach clung to the air, making my nose run as my escorts led me deeper into the station. “The sanitation in this place is killing me,” I thought, a sardonic grin playing on my lips. It was better than my cell in Sabaneta, at least.
A sudden, vivid memory flashed through my mind: bluish bubbles, gasping for air, lungs screaming, drowning. Then, the splash, the harsh reality of my face hitting water, and the choking sensation as air went down the wrong tube. I blinked, the clean, sanitized room coming back into focus.
Two uniformed personnel entered, their eyes raking over me. I could feel their arrogance, their misplaced sense of superiority. The middle-aged officer, with his foxy brown hair and lampshade mustache, looked through a binder, sneaking glances. "Let's see… Your name is Eliza LaRue, 22 years old. Uhm, you are a Serial Killer. Joe, am I reading this correctly?"
He was mocking me. People usually acted cautious around criminals, but not these two. Not that I planned to kill him, but I could if I wanted to. His head and neck were full of openings. I remembered an old guy I’d killed before, that same foxy hair.
"Sorry, may I know the exact time of my execution tomorrow?" I asked, cutting him off. "I believe you already received a report that I requested to speed up the process so I'll spend less time on death row. I want to be scheduled for lethal injection a little earlier."
