Repeated Past!
Every night, the same nightmare haunts Khanza Syahila, a haunting echo of a past she can't recall. With each dawn, a chilling sense of dread whispers of an unknown danger. Her pale face and sharp gaze hint at a unique ability—one that attracts unwanted attention from unseen forces. As a mysterious new teacher, Kenzo, enters her life, Khanza finds herself entangled in a web of secrets, ancient powers, and a battle for her very existence. Will she unravel the truth before the past consumes her?The morning air hung heavy, tinged with the familiar residue of nightmares that clung to Khanza like a shroud. She sat on her bed, eyes fixed blankly on the rumpled blanket, her heart a frantic drum against her ribs. Something was off today, a prickle of unease she couldn't shake, a feeling that whispered of impending doom.
Giving up on deciphering the ominous premonition, Khanza dragged herself to the bathroom. Under the cold spray of the shower, her mind raced: What's wrong? What's different? Will something bad happen? Will I... die? A faint, almost welcome thought, given her constant weariness.
Dressed in her school uniform, her pale face reflecting back from the dresser mirror, she moved with practiced detachment. Cellphone in pocket, sling bag slung over her shoulder, she locked her room door. Just as she turned, the door next to hers opened. A tall, bespectacled man, a new face, was also locking his door. He nodded, a slight, almost imperceptible greeting.
"Morning," she managed, her voice flat, before walking past him without another glance, descending the stairs of the mixed boarding house she'd called home for five years. He watched her go, a strange, knowing smile playing on his lips.
