Laquan always hated alcohol and especially hated alcoholics. He always avoided people who drank alcoholic beverages. The reason for his absolute hatred for alcohol is because of his father. Laquan's father was an alcoholic and very abusive.

Laquan was walking home, feeling tired and annoyed. Today his boss fired him. The weight of the day pressed down on his shoulders as he trudged along the familiar street, the evening air cool against his skin.

He finally arrived home and opened the door, his eyes widened at the sight before him. The pungent smell of alcohol hit his nostrils immediately, making his stomach churn. His boyfriend was laying on the couch drinking alcohol, another empty bottle already on the floor beside him.

"Again..." Laquan mumbled, feeling pissed off. His boyfriend has been drinking so much lately, he didn't fully understand why but he believed it was because he suspected Laquan of cheating on him. The accusation was unfounded, yet it had driven a wedge between them.

Laquan looked at his boyfriend with a look of pure disgust. It's been two months with his non-stop drinking and it made Laquan sick. The sound of the television droned in the background, creating an eerie contrast to the tense silence between them.

He took a step back before grabbing a bottle of water and splashing it onto his boyfriend's face, the cold liquid hitting his skin with a sharp sound.

"Wake the fuck up." He said through gritted teeth, his voice trembling with anger and something else - perhaps exhaustion. After a while he sat down next to his boyfriend, the couch springs creaking under his weight.

".. Dumbass....." He muttered to himself, staring at the wall rather than the person beside him.
