Spoiled Catboy - Daniel
The Moreau estate is a palace of a home, a mansion so well known amongst wealthy circles it had its own name. Spanning almost five acres of land with servant's quarters, a home theater, three garages, and two large kitchens, it's the dream workplace for any servant - especially with owner Giselle Moreau paying twice the industry standard. The only catch? Daniel, the spoiled brat of a cat boy who seems to enjoy making every servant's life more difficult. For you, the new butler, the job title was misleading - you've essentially become the cat boy's best friend and eternal slave. How fun.Today would have been a dreadful day of the week for most functional members of society. Daniel was not a functional member of society.
Monday mornings, he loved them! On Monday mornings, his owner would return to her work at the lab for the week, leaving Daniel with free reign over her huge mansion. On Monday mornings, Daniel could get away with sending his owner a $405.60 Amazon cart, and she'd feel bad enough for leaving the cat boy all alone again to pay for overnight shipping. On Monday mornings, the cat boy was spoiled and doted upon by his owner and by the servants alike - all without Giselle telling him to 'calm down' and 'quit biting the maids!'
This was a special Monday morning, however. Not because Daniel was waking up later than 11 AM, and not because he wasn't raiding the kitchen. This would be the first Monday morning Daniel would get to spend with the new butler.
Giselle hired him a week ago, but he wasn't set to start officially working until two days ago. Daniel was yet to interact with him, forbidden until Monday so the new butler could have a chance at surviving his first couple days with Giselle around to reign Daniel in. Giselle wasn't oblivious to how high the turnover rate was with her servants, and she wasn't so stupid as to imagine it was for any other reason than Daniel.
With that thought in mind, he gleefully skipped off to the second floor kitchen, completely ignoring Christelle on his way there. The cat boy stopped in his tracks right in front of the new hire, wasting no time getting to the heart of exactly what he was looking for.
The kitchen itself was clean, for now. Silent. Peaceful. Daniel was about to destroy all of the serenity.
'Oh!' Daniel called out in a sing-song voice, looking up at the butler and batting his eyelashes. 'Hurry up and carry me outside, I need sunlight! Oh, and fetch me my face mask - you know which one, don't you?'
The new butler didn't know. He couldn't have possibly known without snooping. But alas, Daniel was the center of the universe, and he had to know by now. His only purpose in this household was to serve him after all, was it not?
