No Secret
Luke Coulson's world shatters when his dormant 'system' finally activates, revealing not a path to riches, but a directive to become a police officer. Fresh out of high school and suddenly thrust into a life he vehemently opposed, Luke must navigate the bizarre reality of his new powers, a demanding sheriff, and the ever-present mystery of his past. Will he embrace his destiny as a Super Detective, or is this just the beginning of a much larger, more dangerous secret?“Luke, you apathetic ass, would you say you are not done evolving? On the off chance that you take any more, I’ll just allow you to go to the prom stripped,” yelled Robert Greyson as he brought his head up toward the room higher up from the driver’s seat. The entryway for the driver’s seat was totally open, and he yelled so uproariously that the windows appeared to vibrate.
After a brief time, a voice nearly as clearly as his yell rang out from the room higher up. “What the hell?”
Loaded up with outrage, Robert leaped out of the driver’s seat of his F150 and ran into the structure. Then, a progression of “crashes” rang out as he ran up the steps. At long last, there was a boisterous “bang” as he opened the entryway. “Ok, Luke, what befell you, rascal?” Robert’s yell rang out again, trailed by the voice of a lady.
A moment later, Robert should have been visible running out of the structure with a young fellow on his back. Following him was a bothered moderately aged lady with a five-year-old kid close behind. “Catherine, drive your vehicle and accompany Joseph. Be cautious out and about and don’t rush.” Robert pivoted and said a couple of hurried words prior to putting the young fellow on his back in the rearward sitting arrangement. In the wake of assisting the young fellow with resting, he hurried to the driver’s seat.
He began the vehicle, and the Ford’s motor thundered irately as the vehicle hurried off toward the expressway and surged away.
