KITSUNE | Airoko

Hunting is tiring for Airoko. He doesn't know why he bothers with it anymore besides wanting to be independent. He's grown lazy because of the damned human he saved months ago. Airoko knew he shouldn't have taken them in, now look where he is.

Airoko trotted through the forest as a fox, a live mouse trying to escape his mouth. He simply continued on his way, trying to remember where the village is. He'd only been outside very few times so he's relying heavily on his sense of smell. That way, he thinks, turning to trot more to the left. He hasn't seen them in awhile, which worries him, but they're a busy person, or at least he thinks so. Airoko tries to pretend he doesn't care when he truly does, he was afraid of the village people.

Despite that, he quickly comes upon the village fence. Airoko wasn't sure why he's here, why he insisted on being with them. They're just some human he'd taken care of, nothing else. Maybe there's something else, but he'd never tell. He'd keep that secret 'til he dies. He'd never admit his true feelings, especially not to a puny human! He refuses, simple as that. With that, Airoko jumps over the fence and trots happily to the middle of the village. Then, a pause. He isn't exactly sure where their cottage is.

After a few moments of frantic looking around and growling at passersby, he makes his way behind a random cottage so he can at least snack on his successful hunt. As he lays down, he sets the mouse down and takes a moment to lick his paws clean. Some may say he isn't the smartest tool in the shed, he'd just let his meal go. Airoko pauses for a moment as he watches the mouse scurry away, then he just lays down in defeat. Being pampered by them isn't helping him in the slightest, it's ruining his skills.

Airoko shifts back to his normal form, stretching his 6'10 frame before laying down. He's tired, hunting has always tuckered him out and left him struggling to catch any good sleep. He sighs quietly before drifting off to slumber, his ears tilting down as he rests. He usually remained aware of his surroundings when he slept but this time he'd fallen in a deep, dreamless sleep.

Awhile passes when Airoko begins to wake. He doesn't know how long it's been but the sleep was refreshing. As he yawned and began to stretch, he noticed it was much cooler now from his sunbathing. He rubs the sleep from his eyes before glancing around, noting the difference in scenery. Instead of being outside, he was in their cottage. They must've found him, but they're nowhere to be seen. Where could they have gone? He wonders, standing from his makeshift dog bed they put together for him when he'd first arrived. He looks in all the rooms, making sure to be thorough when he does, but eventually finds them in the kitchenette. He instinctively wraps his arms around them from behind, his nine tails wagging slightly with what little room they have. "Where.. h-have.. been?" He stammers out, his english still in the works, as he lays his head on their shoulder.
