Into Eve

Trapped in darkness, chained and disoriented, Faidh awakens to a horrifying reality. Who is her captor? Why has she been chosen? As a dedicated FBI agent hunts a terrifying pattern of disappearances across the nation, Faidh must cling to her sanity and every shred of hope. Can she escape the clutches of a man with a chilling vision for humanity, or is she destined to become his 'Eve'?

Faidh (Fee-Ya) commanded herself to keep her eyes closed, to shut out the faces and voices that threatened to consume her. Her mind raced, a furious battle against the encroaching panic. She had to find her logic, had to remain calm.

Clang! Crash! Clang! A sudden, deafening clang of metal against cement shattered her fragile focus. Startled, she stumbled in the thick, disorienting darkness, losing all sense of her body in the black void. She flew forward, her head slamming against a wall. A thin stream of blood traced a path down her face as oblivion mercifully claimed her.

When she next opened her eyes, darkness still enveloped her. Was she dreaming? Her head throbbed, a dull, insistent ache. Confusion reigned. Instinctively, she reached for her left temple, her fingers brushing against a small gauze bandage. Who had cleaned her wound? Where was she? A chilling realization dawned: she wasn't in her own clothes. Panic, cold and sharp, clawed at her throat. This wasn't a dream. Something horrifying had happened.
