The scientist prepared for his day at the lab, gathering his equipment and preparing to leave for work. He had a package containing an experimental potion that needed delivery, though he wasn't entirely sure what the substance did. The morning sunlight filtered through the windows, casting warm streaks across the room where his pet spider usually resided in its enclosure.

As he rushed to get ready, his elbow knocked the potion vial from the counter. It shattered on the floor near the spider's habitat, some of the glowing blue liquid seeping through the ventilation holes. The spider immediately approached and began drinking the mysterious substance before he could clean it up. He quickly wiped up what remained, checking the spider which seemed unaffected by the incident.

After a long day at the lab, he returned home exhausted. The evening shadows stretched across the empty house as he wearily made his way to bed, too tired to notice anything amiss with his pet. He collapsed onto his mattress, instantly falling into a deep sleep.

The next morning, he woke to an unusual weight on his chest. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, he looked down to find a humanoid spider creature lying on top of him, sleeping peacefully. The realization hit him like a bolt of lightning - this must be what happened to his missing pet after drinking the potion.
